E93 - Can I get feedback good or bad?

Hi everyone,
Ive been rummaging thru these forums for snippets of info on the E93 cabriolet.
I am trading my E90 3 series early next year & am really interested in taking a Used E93 Convertible.

Ive looked at the E92 Coupes, and I thought maybe for a couple of extra dollars...I could stretch the budget to something I really wanted.
Thing is...I would really appreciate any feedback from any forum members out there, good, bad or indifferent on these E93s.

I seem to be reading quite a few mentions on fuel pump issues on them...and as Im not mechanically minded its things like this that would deter me from going ahead from buying one - it all helps.

Id love to hear from anyone out there with their experiences, thoughts, or practical advice or experience with the E93s in particular.

Thanks all :-)

Given from your other post your interested in the E93 325i, you don't need to worry about the fuel pump issues, as they are isolated to the 3.0l tt in the 335i's (which was an engine specific issue, not model [sedan/coupe/cabrio] related one).

Yep, HPFP is a 335 specific issue. I had mine replaced about 3mths ago, and I think the new one is on it's way out again

E93 is a sexy looking car, best of luck to you.

WOPALX, Thats terrible - surely verging on some kind of engineering flaw re the HPFP ?!

Ive been keeping my eyes out on the used E93 market, and they are where I kinda want to be now - but I need to wait until at least March 09 before I hand mine back.

I discovered the 335 E93 has 400lbs over the E92...that's huge, like driving an E92 full of people. Almost enough to put me off to be honest..

Well you don't buy a vert for speed & agility, especially if your considering a traditional coupe...
You need a heck of a lot of reinforcement & strengthening in the construction of a vert, plus the tin-top lid isn't exactly light either. The positive is a lot of the weight is low down, so it doesn't impact your centre of gravity substantially, so it won't be as noticeable as you think.

200kgs wont make any difference. People will look at you when your Roof Down compare to E92.

Have you ever owned a convertible?
If not, do it!
I have had convertibles for the last 20 years.
I personally think that convertibles are great and often (not always, like some people) have the top down.

is the HPFP and oil cooler instal a warranty item?

do they remedy the problem?

would be good to hear the australia experience.
