HELP: ECU Removal?

I attempted to remove the ECU on my e92 328xi today so I can ship it to AA for their tune. They told me to follow the instructions that were listed on their site for the E9X M3 (http://www.activeautowerke.com/desig...0for%20E9X.pdf), and I soon found out they're not the same.

I was able to get the air filter off, but the problem I ran into was removing the rain gutter tray. I removed the four screws securing it and released the rubber tabs, but it wouldn't budge. I then noticed that there are a bunch of things connected underneath the tray that may or may not need removal as well (see pic below).

I tried to search for a write up or tutorial but haven't had luck. Can anyone please offer me some advice on how I can access the ECU?
