Real solid. From what I've seen from the RBs they hide that of that huge midrange hit and the pull is much more linear. What's your launch(dead stop brake boost) look like? Can you build up any pressure?

I'm assuming you or your installer preformed the swap on a lift. I guess I'm starting to gear up for a turbo swap and figuring out what kind of time frame. It looks like this is a weekend job for sure.

I did not do any standing start launches until now. I also have a manual transmission, so I don't know what is brake boost Yes the pull is more linear but I did not pay any significant attention to the midrange until now, I can probably improve things a bit.

It was done on a lift and it's a weekend job for sure (start Friday night if you are not experienced ) Seeing all the process (I was there the whole time), I think it can also be done in like 16-18 hours of continuous work (with 2 short lunch breaks) from an experienced mechanic.

Ahhh I thought I read in the thread that this car was a 6AT. My mistake. Does your tune have a 2 step built in?

It surprisingly looks about the same ordeal other than pulling the turbo from the bottom instead of the top. It took me about 10 hours however the single went back on much easier, most Supra owners complain about how hard it is to get the twins off with the motor installed. That being said, I'm looking forward to loosing 16 hours of my life to this car eventually.

I've done a few 1jz and 2jz pulls. Those motors, since they sit upright, are cake compared to these. I think the NA-T build I did on my SC300 was one of the easiest turbo installs I ever did as well. Loved that engine

Depends on what car they're in. MK3 Supras are kinda a bitch with the stock twins(1JZ of course). I've still got my MK3 with the 1JZ single turbo swap; it most likely won't see any road use in the next year because of the 335. My plan is to stuff that thing in a SC300 eventually, regardless "real" Toyota straight sixes(anything JZ related) are some of the best things to come out of Asia.

Have you pulled a set of N54 turbos yet?

@cstavaru - It would be interesting if you could post the base cobb maps and overlay it with the virtual dyno software, so you can see percentage difference changes between what you started with and what you have now.

The problem is that the base cobb maps are not usable at all with RB turbos. I mean, you get huge boost overshoots and throttle closures. Also, the base Stage 2 Aggressive map is not very well tested in some areas, like post-shift timing (low loads / high RPMs) and very low loads / low RPMs, you get unnecessary timing corrections.

However, here is a comparison of dynos from today vs. two days ago, when I almost finished the WGDC tables. Quite a difference
