Glad you got home safe!

Driving home right after back to back dyno pulls, tuning, and install finalization... you, my friend, are a trooper.

Anyone else impressed by the robustness of this kit and the install? That's gotta be a 2,000 mile drive. I doubt many cars with 700HP at the crank would/could do that.

Impressive. Enjoy your new single!

You can attribute that more to the N54 than the turbo kit. But, the tune must be solid because I'm sure there were a "few" mighty highway pulls on the drive back.

Based on photos on the 2nd page it looks like he trailered it. Regardless, I bet it would make the drive...

But then again, he might have trailered it there then took a flight out there by air and drove back.

That is freaking awesome that you drove that car 2,000 miles with a big single... That is marketing for this single turbo right there.

it was 2098 mile to be exact lol. i was worried about something might went wrong with such a long drive at first but this car is just so freaking amzing! was going triple digits half of the time, it feels like the car wanted u to push it! runs so strong and hard! all i have noticed is the car burned a little oil when i get home but shiv told me that was totally normal for a such long long drive.

You will burn some oil sitting in the triple digits

Motul 300V 10W40. Full Group V synthetic, takes massive heat without coking, extremely low vaporisation.

Eneos 0w50, and a lot of it. I picked up a ton of it a while ago from a friend. Soon I will run out and have to find real oil though...

I think ima go with either Motul 300V 10W40 or amsoil 10w40, that's what shiv recommended it but I was just also try to see what other oil ppl use on their single turbo cars.

That could've been over 8000 1/4 mile VBOX times. Just saying.

Cool. I'm using the oil that costs as much as gold at the moment. Those are both good choices. I'm going to Laguna Seca on the 3rd/4th, maybe I'll try Motul.

One of the biggest differences in the oils are the additive packages. Motul has stopped using zinc, and has a zinc replacement that is pretty nice. 300v is a great oil, (smells a little like pina colada) and has worked well for us in certain applications. We typically use the Amsoil 10w40 Synthetic premium because of it's high zinc content which has additional lubrication properties.

If you plan on racing (people like Captain Insano) you'll want to compensate by using a slightly thicker oil.

All of our "street driven" single turbo cars have used the Amsoil synthetic premium oil, including Shivs.
