i don't much about bike, but i'm curious as to why bike like ducati is so much more expensive than their japanese competitor. what make the ducati so expensive

I was told that MSRP will be $13,800, which is about $1000 more than the R1 and $2000 less than a base 1198 or RSV4. So for a European bike, it's a decent price.

i do..i don't own a bike at the moment but i ride all the time w/ a couple buddies of mine who let me borrow their extra bikes..

i'm purchasing something by the end of the summer, hopefully before the end of the summer so i can get some good rides in while the weather is still perfect! been shopping aroud but not 100% on what i want to get, but i'm definitely gunna be picking up this bike when it comes out!
