Rims Refinished and Powder-coated

Hey!

I was just seeing if anybody knew any reputable shops that refinished rims and did powder-coating. I'm locating in Milwaukee, but I would travel to Chicago or Madison if necessary.

Also, just to check, is it safe to do this to the stock 193M's or the AG M359's? I'm looking to go ferric grey on the 193M's and gloss black on the M359's.

Thanks in advance!

I used Wheel Tech for straightening and they did a good job. I liked their honesty that they can't weld 2 cracks and then a 15 min explaination why vs Wheels America who said "yea sure we can do that."

I saw some of their display models that were powdercoated and they looked good. I'm looking to get a set of TE37's for the track next year, and I'll have wheel tech powder coat them a candy apple red.

I think it depends but it cost my buddy on a csl wheel 75 bucks to weld a crack and refinish the whole wheel. That was a discount though im not sure what ordinary prices are but I heard wheels of America don't do 2/3 piece wheels well. I used them as well and they were amazing but this was like 5 years ago.

Agree with you there. My brother brought his 3 piece DPE's in there and they just kept leaking air. Pretty sure he brought them in 2-3 separate occasions to have them fix the problem.

FYI O.P. there is a good place in Madison that does it if thats easier for you. Hit up Darkcyd_Turbo (noel) and he'll give you the details.

Wheels America I was not impressed with as my wheels had to go back to them twice after because they don't know how to properly mount a fucking tire, tore the edge off one of um completely.

Wheel Tech is where I will be going from now on, great prices and good rep.

I will not recommend wheels america, I took my X5 wheels to them to paint and after three months paint start "run down". They say that are giving life time warranty so I took wheels back to them to repaint them they said is my fault because I probably used hard acid to clean them and is nothing they can do. they can paint them again but I have to pay again I'll never deal with them again, they charged be $550 for set of wheels to fix curb rush and paint them.
