Hi All,

my wife has an E51 which did not sync until i installed a particular software update from Nokia.

the E71 should be fine considering it's a newer phone.

My Nokia E71 pairs with my 320D no problem - can make & receive calls handsfree and sync address book. Ocassionally have a problem where the phone doesn't 'disconnect' from the car and you can still see the little car symbol on the E71 screen. This happens even though the car is off and locked and i'm nowhere near it. THe only way i've found to get it to disconnect when this happens is to switch phone off and back on.

Not sure if this is a phone or car problem (probably phone) but is frustrating because you miss all calls until you notice the little car symbol sitting there on the screen...

Does turning off the bluetooth on the phone work??

My gripe is being unable to turn the car off when I'm on the phone using the car bluetooth...

for example, if I'm talking on the phone, and I reach my destination, I cannot walk away from the car. The Idrive screen stays on, until I end my phone call.

No, i've tried that but the phone basically 'hangs' if I switch off bluetooth, probably because it isn't actually paired to the car anymore. I'm sure if it ran Windows, the old 3 finger salute would fix it (Ctl-Alt-del)

Does the music player play the songs from the e71 over the stereo BT connection??

The E71s we've had at work have been utter rubbish, I have gone through 4 of them and in the end gave up. It's neither a good phone nor a good PDA nor a good email device.
