Shaving 5mm is okay... anything more than 10 it becomes wrong... ive checked out the wheel as long as the tire shop did the machining correctly it is okay

That's right, this method has been done forever. As long as there is enough pad then you can shave 5mm off.

yeap... i have checked with alloy wheel repairs... there is more than plenty.... i can even shave another 5-10mm off... but no one in the right mind will... i might shave 5mm and change the whole barrel to change the offset or something... thou
