angel eye just went out

my car is stock, i have not modded anything...im guessing the complete ring around my headlights is the angel eye? if not i apologize...however, those rings are my concern, my headlights are not completely dead, just those rings around the bulbs are dead on my driver side. on my passenger side im good to go!

code comes up in yellow, it looks like a gremlin lightbulb, i know it refers to my lights because i checked it out in the book, when i looked at my headlights i noticed that two rings are out on my driver side headlight "set"

so my questions are..

1. does this cost much to replace?
2. whats the proper term for that specific ring?
3. is this covered under CPO?

It takes about an hour, you can buy the replacement bulb from your dealer for up to $85.

I replaced the bulb for $2.50 by sanding off the two plastic clips, separated the two halves of the bulb holder and ordering the replacement through sailboatstuff.com store on eBay for $5 for two bulbs.

XENON MINI-BAYONET CLEAR BULB 10W 12V (PAIR) P/N 843436
Item# 280520151993

Use a soldering iron to melt the two halves back together.

Are you sure?

Mine wasn't, a lot of things are not covered under the certified pre owned warranty.

Yeah, I thought it was covered under the mfg warranty; not the cpo, but I gave the Norcal_335 the benefit of the doubt.

Maintenance plan and CPO are two different animals, CPO only covers major components, nothing wear and tear/consumable.
