UPDATED Escort Sticky cup for your radar detector (pics included)
So, after researching various mounts for a solution other than the $130 blendmount, I decided to give Escort's new Sticky cup a try.
This is a redesigned mount Escort released in June 2013, which they say addresses design issues they had with both the original, as well as their Super cup that they still sell (for some unknown reason.) Link: https://www.escortradar.com/stickycup/ Price: $25, plus $5 standard shipping Quality: 10x better than that busheet stock mount Escort gives you with the radar detector. This has a gel ring, which then locks under pressure. It also has a adjustable dial so you can change the angle of the radar detector once connected to the sticky cup. Verdict: Digging it so far. I'm in South Florida, and I have full faith that this thing won't fall off the windshield, which was my fear with the standard one the radar detector came with. A great alternative to the Blendmount, at a fraction of the blendmount cost. Last edited by myculito; 01-17-2014 at 07:14 PM.. |

Way too big for the mount and I don't like how you mounted yours. I would put it above the mirror to the right there is a perfect gap for it but not with your suction cup. I have a V1.

J/K. You're right though, the suction cup was too big for that spot on the top right. There's just not a lot of options out there for this car with the exception of the blendmount. I need something that cane be adjusted as well, since I use a sunshade down here. |
