When you said "Drive around for a while spirited", do you mean driving it fast, how fast should I go??

Last time BMW Autohaus dealer where I I bought it from said he was going to charge me about $150 if it was the oil cap, but like i said if it is the oil cap then there is a problem with the cap. He probably going to say it is the oil cap. BUt how am I able to verify that???
Your car is under warranty...if its a non-wear component...they should replace it no questions asked. Fight for it until you get what you want. Speak to manager or owner etc. If that doesn't work...call BMW Canada. You will get what you need. If that doesn't work, get at me in a week. I'll be back in town and I can install my JB4 for you and read the code.

Thank you so much!!!!

I will fight for it. Although I very much hope it is just a sensor false alarm, and not something major, but still, it is new car and should be free from any problem like this at this early stage!

I do not trust the the Rep at the Service department of the BMW Autohaus.

I dont do any service at autohaus. They don't have a great reputation on the forum. Parkview or Toronto seem to have better reputations.

You can also check to make sure all your sensors are plugged in securely.

Go to the install guide here and check that each one of the sensors is plugged in properly.

Yeah running 15mm front and 10mm rear. Its a good fitment for a lowered car.

I'm travelling too much so no time to take finish the photoshoot. Need to get a few more key shots before I post pics up.

You can probably go a bit more aggressive on stock setup. Maybe 20 and 15 or 18 and 12. Not exactly sure...

20mm on a lowered car would rub, without a question!

I'm surprised even 15mm is workin

I'n pretty sure 20mm will work in the front no problem...even on a lowered car. I know I could go more aggressive. Its the rear thats the issue. 10mm is max on lowered car without rolling the fenders.

Thats good news then! I want my car to look like the e90 M3. I love the way that car stands, sooo much nicer than the e92 M3

I will check it this weekend.
I called my BMW sales rep today and he is booking a service appointment with the service department at Autohaus.
He is also arranging the Piano black to be replaced at the same time....
I hope they can fix the problem.

I wish I could get my Piano Black trim replaced also...its pretty bad. I should have had them replace it from the start with a brand new piece from Germany. I had them swap the best of the cars they had...mistake...

I also had to wait for mine (not sure how they manage to destroy all of them), but when they installed it, guess what? I have a brand new spiderweb on a brand new piano black trim piece...no deep scratch though.

There are some fixing suggestions in this thread:

At some point, I will try the Swissvax...

Just got BMW remote working on my iPhone today. Kept getting login errors but their tech support seems to have eventually fixed it. It has limited usefulness, but I'm a networking geek so I did want to see it work. It does locate the car, and lock/unlock the doors. That is all.

Notice BMW Connected app has an update at the App Store that requires iOS 5. I'm inclined to stay with my jailbroken and patched 4.3.3 for now.

Yep, I tried the remote app but it really didn't do anything that was of interest...Connected is a bit better but I'm not twittering or facebooking on the fly...Pandora was worth it for me however for a free app, the internet stations work well but I would probably use satellite more.

I hope they do not scratch something else while replacing it! I am more concern with the Yellow Engine light, I hope they really get to it and fix the problem, whatever it is, rather than making up some excuses like accusing me of not tightening the oil cap again! If they don't fix it this time, I will not be bringing my there for service in the future! My sales rep seems to be a nice guy, he does not think it is the oil cap neither. He thinks it could be a sensor making a false alarm!

Depends on wheel offset. With some wheels these sizes would be all wrong. Gotta love the forum.

Okay so 10 and 15. Where did you get your spacers?

Could go more aggressive if your not lowered. All up to you.

I have bms spacers. Lots of vendors on the forum sell spacers. Rogue Engineering ones are pretty nice. Just make sure you put some anti-seize on when you install them on the hub or they will be harder to take off later.

And its not lowered, merely stock like we all got.

What do you recommend?
