problems after h&r spring install
4 check engine codes
dynamic brake system error ABS error TPMS error DSC error and a bad clunking noise from the drivers front i got a shitload of lights lit up on my cluster. anyone have this problem? what can i do to clear them? also, i now see why people get rid of these springs so fast ( i went with H&R Race) and it rides like TOTAL CRAP...my advice to anyone looking to drop thier car is to do it right and just get coilovers. ive had 4 slammed civics and an Evo all dropped on springs and this probably feels the worst out of all of them. |

I just had my H&R sport springs installed yesterday and they are awesome.
Sounds like a bad alignment. Have to shop check it out

I had the same problem but without the error lights. Tell the shop to check the nut on top of the shock. The one with the plastic cap cover. Also, get a proper alignment at the dealer. Make sure everything is tight.

The TPMS light I don't get unless they switched your wheels from right to left. Rotating the tires will set off the old style (ABS-type) system.
As for the other lights, check to see if they reconnected the right front sensor harness. There is obviously an ABS sensor, and there is a sensor on the right front suspension to measure suspension travel. If they didn't re-connect the harness that goes up the right front suspension, it would cause the lights you mentioned. |

i did the install myself , im very capable of the job .. its something ive done about 8 times already but not on a bmw. i quickly skimmed thru a few of the DIYs to get a idea of everything.. i never unplugged anything but now that i think of it, i did have the car on briefly while the sensors were off. i dont mind the rough ride .. its just the knocks im getting from the front end thats killing it. everything is tight too. is there a way to reset those lights without going to the dealer?

alignment will cure it....you probably knocked something out of spec while taking out the front springs...
i never had that problem when i installed springs on customer cars, but my friend did it himself and had the same problem. It will go away after alignment

The clunking noise from the front is usually a result of the top strut nuts not being torqued down enough. I would check them again. I had the same problem when I installed my coilovers.

Sorry to hear about your problems.
I have the H&R sports springs along with the Koni Yellows and I love the ride!!! GL with your problem. Like everyone said, try to torque the nut on the top of the strut that's making the noise and get an alignment.
