Me too!! I have NFI what it is lol.

After having deposits on two cars and both sales falling through (granted one of them wasn't the dealers fault) I'm in a bit of a CBF attitude, maybe need to sell some more DPs/Lux etc and I can afford something nice

Hi Guys,
Always loved BMW's and dearly wanted a E92 335i. Unfortunately I couldn't afford a 335i so ended up buying an E92 325i. The saving grace was the 325i is a 6 speed manual. The 6 speed manual provides a really engaging driving experience. Absolutely love it! I live outside of the city, so don't have to deal with much traffic.

Regards,
Stephen

Its all sbout the engine

Over the years i have had many cars and bikes, if you look at the specs of most of them you can see its all about the engine. Kawasaki HI, H2, Z1. Suzuki GT750, RE5. Mazda Rotary, DOHC B16 turbo. Nissan RB26, SR20. And now BMW N54.
I found this engine totally by chance back in 2007 Ben a Good GTR customer and euro lover dropped by the shop driving a BMW 335 coupe, he was all smiles, and i must say i was impressed the look of this new coupe is stunning i asked the question what engine has it got mate? when he said its a turbo i thought here we go it will be your typical euro turbo not that great. We talked a while about other things and went our different ways. About a month later Ben was back in the shop in a different car i asked what happened to that nice looking coupe. Sold it mate, i asked how did it go the reply was Yer OK but nothing like the GTR, I thought nothing more about BMW as a performance car.
About a year later Kenny another euro lover rang me and said he had sold the M3 and purchased a new car could i have a look at it as he had a bunch of parts to fit up.
The next Saturday he rocked up with a funny looking 135 coupe not a brilliant looking car but i have grown to like them now. I asked what engine has it got?. Did you say 3ltr twin turbo dual varnos shit.
Well as you all know that was the start of the connection with Advan Performance and BMW, that's when i came to the realization that this engine is pretty darn no i mean Fucken good. We have worked on many E46 M3 Bimers most with the arse end hanging out and some other older BMW cars all to me just another car Then along came Justin with his build i was sold. This engine is BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT i have to have one. So the hunt for a manual 135, then a 335, then pissed off because i couldn't find one. At this time I was in talks with Autologic i just happened to ask the question what if i was to fit a manual box into a Auto car, Mr Autologic said all good we have the software for that conversion it has been done in the UK many times so don't worry. That was all i needed went out and purchased an auto. As a mechanic who loves engines first, then the look of the car second i am very very happy with my 335 coupe

I already know that my next BMW will be a IM.

So there you have it you can blame Ben, Kenny and Justin for my obsession with the N54 engine, by the way the car is also pretty good.

I wanted a nice cruiser, something with a bit of grunt to back it up, but it wouldn't be my main 'go fast' car. It had to be the colour combo I wanted, low kms and convertible. I found the right car in Sydney, flew up, drove it down. I wanted to keep it stock, enjoy it and sell it after 6 months or so.

Then I called Stuart. Now the car is modified and I'll probably keep it for another few months until I find the right GTR, which I've decided will be my next car.

I wore out my old Mitsubishi Galant VR4 and was going to buy an 06 EVO. I wanted a white AWD 4dr turbo manual tranny black leather interior car with a lot of potential. Couldn't find an acceptable deal. Found one on a 335xi instead :-). No regrets so far, but that's because I live down the street from the dealer and they've paid for almost everything so far. If things continue to break at the rate they have so far I'll get rid of it before the CPO is gone and start looking at EVOs again. 3 trips to the dealer in 3 months, each one over $1000.

Be nice if we had the 4x4 option here in Australia, its hard just to try and find a manual.
