I do this a lot... Especially now I've got full exhaust, I LOVE the sound

Very attached to it. It was love at first sight, that's why I drove over 300 miles to go get her! She's got every option I wanted, she's sexy to look at, fun to drive, loads of power, couldn't ask for more.

Not attached. My e90 is my forth BMW in 20 or so years.
I've owned a '78 530i, '88 e30 M3, '97 e36 M3 and now a '08 e90 335i.
I stopped being attached to cars while getting rid of my e30 M3.

Give me the right amount of cash, and you can pretty much buy any piece of stuff I own.
Stuff you can replace. People you cannot.

I'm on my second bmw. I loved my first, but idk how attached i was to it. I couldn't wait to get a new one.

but I'm in love with the 328 i have now. I've had it a little over a year, and now i've committed to a 335i and i don't know how i'll feel once i'm driving something else. to be honest, ik how it sounds, but i think i'm going to miss it even though i'll be driving a 335.

I'm giving the one i have now to my brother, so it's not like it will be gone, but i know i'm going to be pretty worried knowing he's driving it.

lot's of road trips, memories, and fun in this car. i might end up trading with my brother after a couple weeks.

taking the new one to florida the day i get it though

I love my ride. Actually, today would actually be 5 months since I've had it. This is my first OWN car, I've been driving my parents cars before that. We've had BMW's in the past as a family, and our first car was a E36 328i and we also own a E60 525i in India.

I'm really obsessed with my baby tho. I try and spend as much time as I can with her (even taking her out for 15 mins on lunch breaks) and can drive her just for the fun of it like others have stated.

I started this thread to hear about your story about your first bmw or several bmw's you have had. hope to hear nice stories!
I started with BMWs in 1985, at age 17, with a euro-spec 1984 E30 323i. I've since owned a 92 325is, 96 M3, 01 M3, 02 M5, 01 325i and now an 08 335i. To be honest, each generation of BMWs that I buy, I'm a little more disappointed that the "BMW-ness" is not as strong as it previously was. I got my E90 in February (it's daily driver #2) and I'm already shopping for something else. The E90 just doesn't drive like I think a BMW should...the steering feel (which used to be the best in the biz) is now quite a bit more BLAH and the suspension and overall ride just sucks compared to earlier cars. My favorite was the E30, second was the E36 M3.

I going to take my time and drive a handful of other cars before I decide if I'm going to punt the E90. I will say that it's spending a lot more time sitting in the garage then I thought it would. I know you don't hear this often, but I really like my BMW dealer (Autobahn BMW in Fort Worth) and will miss their location and service if I leave BMW. They also sell P-cars and I'm considering a Cayman S as a replacement but I'm not jazzed about owning another 2 seater b/c I already own one and I'm currently shopping for another, a 68-71 big block Corvette.

I'm here to let all of you know,
Treat your BMW like your wife,
If you take care of her,
And turn her on very often,
She will definitely ride you good.

..so much so that I traded a 2011 Sonata 2.0T Limited in for my 09 328xi... It's been 5 years since my last bimmer (had 3 overall: a 1985 325 coupe; 99 328i and now the 09 328xi) and I love it.. hell I drove 50 miles with the radio off and just enjoyed the quietness and the purr of the engine!
