pre-lci vs lci
why does bmw always do this?
notice: they always give you the cheap shit the first half of the models duration THEN now notice LCI bmw e39...... taillights fully illuminated throughout the light bars you get the good shit.... but it's like that for mostly every model, how long till bmw just give's you the good shit the first time around and not make you wait about 3 years. pre lci- lci- pre lci- lci- i mean i think they starting to make em look good right off the bat, but that's one of BMW's signature thing, i notieced that the new X1 has that good look to em, but they're stil not LED like the LCI obviously will be. pre lci X1 ¿ POR QUÉ ?

Because BMW has to change something for LCI.
I think the Pre-LCI E92 and Pre-LCI E90 Blacklines look much better than their LCI counterparts. I like the even three light bars, it's classy. |

IMO LCI always looks better. Makes the car look updated. The clear signal and non led brake lights on the Pre LCI is SOOO OLD!
Look at all the newer cars with led everything on their tail lights. As Barney from How I Met Your Mother once said. NEW IS ALWAYS BETTER (in the case of lights) |

I think you are being a bit too harsh.
You can maybe comment on why the E90 LCI has LED turn signals but not LED brakelights, that's silly IMO. But you can't compare E39 pre LCI to LCI because you have to think about progression of design and technology. When the E39 came out in 95 (EU) and 97 (NA), that was the design back then. In 2001, they have LED light bars and the clear look (newer technology and style). In 95, everything was yellow/red and fairly basic. X1 taillights were without LED, apart from light bars, same as the LCI.

it's not just BMW. almost all other car manufacturers do that too, regardless of whether it's a premium brand or not. It's the way the OEM industry is for autos.
