What are everyones opinions on performance diesel over regular diesel ?
does is really make a difference to your MPG, performance? And does it make your engine run smoother ?

Thinking about making the change to performance diesel as there are two Shell garages near me.

The question is, is it really worth the extra money ?

V-power diesel does not have the same effect as V-power petrol. V-power petrol makes a difference, and a massive difference on tuned cars. The diesel, as stated by Shell, has one main benefit: cleaning properties. Most people I know either use it every time, or every other time (full tank) to keep the fuelling system clean.

Since I bought my 330d, I've only been using V-power because IMO it almost pays for itself due to double points on the Shell Club Card (I do 30k miles a year at the moment) and isn't a massive increase in cost anyway.

I think I'll use it every other time as there isn't a vast difference in price and it will help clean my engine and keep everything running smooth.
