'Bomber' who mentioned the battery in the OSR boot is on the money here....

In LHD cars the battery is diametrically opposite the driver to balance the corner weights better.
The battery location, however, is unchanged on our RHD.
So a little too heavy in that corner, and all the heavy steering gear / pedal box is now on the OS too.

Lift the battery out, move it to the other corner and measure - I bet its almost right then

Mine does this as well. Thought it was a bit odd but hasn't overly bothered me. Going for some KW V2 coilovers soon so hopefully I will be nice and level after there on! Helpful thread all te same.

Measured mine today. 18mm lower on the drivers side..
Hmmm....?? May try the battery shifting trick just to check.

I believe 18mm is outside tolerance, think BMW allow up to 12-13mm.

I'll pull onto the dead flat road outside and double check. But it is quite visible.

I can echo the first post from Phil325i.

I had the same concern with all my new cars including my 1x325Ci M Sport Coupe, 4xE46 330Ci Sport Coupe's, 1xE46 M3 and 1xE90. BMW said this was to level out based on driver occupying the car (for Euro models) and they did not compensate for the UK.

This is normal as far as I am aware, so no need to panic Enjoy it!

This difference in ride height has been noted for years, right the way through every 3 series model from e30 to e90.

Oddly, it never seems to be discussed on any other model range (ie: 5, 6, 7, etc).

I think my whole passenger side sits lower. I'll have to check (it could be driver's side...)

So this is normal then? I was starting to think I have to buy new suspension.

Mine is exactly the same. Im assuming if you went for some coilovers it would cure the problem?

Might be a fairy tale, but it would explain the effect...
i've read this before too... my e46 had this problem and it was even more apparent when i lowered it with springs...

if it was fixed by an eariler post by changing the spring seats. Could you not just switch them over. i.e. put drivers side (UK) spring seat on passenger side and vica versa? then i would sit higher on drivers side and balance out once driver is in vehicle?
