Spark Plugs
Where would be a good place to get OEM spark plugs for a 2007 328xi? Would Autozone work? I don't want to get a plug that is going to give me issues because its junk, but I'm not sure that I want to pay the $25+ per plug from the dealer either.
Thanks! |

I got mine from getbmwparts.com as an additional part of an oil change kit that I ordered for my 328xi.
You can probably get them cheaper but I include my VIN with the order and Tischer has always been spot on.

I see that Tischer has two different types: NGK and Bosch. Any preference as to which one to use? If anyone knows of any other retailers that might have them for less than Tischer, please let me know! |

Just found them on ECS for a couple bucks cheaper than Tischer.
Can anyone tell me what the difference between the NGK and OEM is? The dealer tells me not to use the NGK, but it looks like the NGK may be more performance-oriented.... Sorry for all the questions. |

ECS.....best place for spark plugs. Changed mine last November....easier than I thought. It should take you about 30-45 minutes, but make sure you have the right socket. You can also buy it from ECS. That make the whole difference.
Good luck! |

Good to hear! Did you get the OEM or NGK? How did you like the new plugs?

One of the two suppliers to BMW is NGK (along with Bosch.) What reason did the dealer give not to use NGK?
