Best Car Cover

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good car cover? Perhaps one with a lock. I am moving back to Orange County after many great years on the Central Coast, (job transfer) and I won't be able to garage my car during the first month or two while we house hunt.

Does anyone have any experience with the OEM one? I am sure it fits well, but I don't want to get the cover stolen if it is parked on the street covered. I don't think it has a lock.

I believe the car cover lock is part number 82111467081 and works with car cover part 82110399144.

I don't have any experience with either.

The OEM one is great. Its a perfect fit and the price is very good.

OEM has a big BMW logo on it though, doesn't it?
Could be an issue if you're seeking discretion

Thanks guys,

I realized you can buy a locking cable for the OEM cover, and it seems the price is very competitive. It does appear to have a logo, however, which might be an issue as far as discretion goes as you say.

If anyone else has any experience with covers they would like to share, please feel free...

I used to have a locking cover on my old GTI in college, but of course the cover was stolen in spite of the lock, so I am somewhat leery about buying another one. However, it's better that than to have the car fading in the SoCal sun for a month or two... Getting closer to making an offer on a house so maybe it won't be an issue.

I just got my OEM car cover at Pacific BMW in Glendale. They have an internet promo for $143.96+$11.88 (tax)=$155.84. If I'm not mistaken the original price comes to about $190+.

Don't bother looking for a universal car cover because the E90 has unique dimensions. The OEM is based off the Covercraft's Noah line, a little thinner than their popular Evolution (one level lower) line. I would recommend getting the OEM since it has nice fit will not uncover from strong winds like other custom fit covercars. The lock and cable should be available at NAPA, Checkers, etc.

i had that kind of material the bavarian has, on an old G20 back in the day, and it was the best cover ever...

Hey All, I'm trying to decide between the OEM Car cover Part # 82110399144 or the Bavarian Autosport Ultimate Car Cover Part# BM3S05.

Is the cover super tight or with a liittle room? I'm leaning towards the Bav Auto Car cover as they say it folds up to a 12 back of bear in the trunk.

Anyone have either one of these? How easy is it to put the cover on and and take it off? My last car cover was an OEM one for an Acura TSX and it was a custom fit but was so tight to put on and take off I only used it twice cause I was afraid just putting it on was going to scratch it.

I'm only using the car cover for protection from the snow this winter.
