Update 2005 sat nav maps to latest 2013/14 DVD

It's more about the make of dvd burner and the type of burn you do.

My laptop DVD drive isn't DL. All the ISO file did seem to burn to a single layer DVD+R though?

I used this software to detect the original BMW OEM DVD I have (Road Map Professional Europe 2005-2) and it says "Layers: 1".

Also I tested the integrity of the DVD and after surface and file scans the report came back with 0 errors --> probably my DVD unit is at fault.

I got the CD / DVD drive checked and the DVD unit has failed. BMW Service quoted me around £180 to replace the unit - I could get a high spec TomTom / Garmin for that money. What do you recommend? It's the old CCC Pro Sat Nav.

If there only charging £180 to change the ccc drive I would definitely get it fixed ,if anything for the future sale of the car.

Most of the discs have speed camera etc, just people are to dumb to work out how to add them or even use it.

I've got the latest 2013 disc of Europe if people want it. Just PM and i'll send it out of you cover the postage.

hi guys i have this BMW.Navigation.Road.Map.Europe.PROFESSIONAL2013.MU LTiLANGUAGE,are 3 dvds,i burn then and work fine for me,so if any of you want it ,i am happy to send u the copies to try,no cost at all,cheers

HI Gents,

i just updated my car from the same site above http://bmwnavigation.co.uk/

i have a f10 so needed a code, he did the car maps 2014 and a 3 year unlock code for £49 . i thought this was a fantastic deal looking at others doing this form of update ..

the result,..

updated from DVD , i didnt want to mess with any files ..as his came ready to go..

updated to 2014 maps with full 7 postcode now finally . so very happy..
