As far as I know, JGMods is the only vendor that is offering a Polyurethane MTech replica front bumper at the present time. I'm sure that all vendors will be offering this product in the near future. I have seen a few fiberglass replicas (gross) but this was the first polyurethane, replica bumper that I have found.

Let me start off by saying that I have no affiliation with JGMods and this is the first product that I have ordered from them. The bumper was very well packed and contained all of the necessary parts for the install.

The kit included the bumper, all three lower grilles, fog lights, bulbs, fog light mounting bracket, headlight washer covers, two hook covers, and a euro plate mount which found it's way to the trash.

A few parts needed to be transferred from the oem bumper to the new bumper including kidney grilles, the metal bumper guide, and screw hole mounts (lack of correct term).

The grilles all lined up and snapped in with ease. Fitment was perfect on all lower grilles. I initially installed the fog lights before realizing that the solid rectangular portion of the fog light housing wouldn't allow any air flow to the oil cooler, brake ducts, or my Stett CAI. Due to this, I have temporarily removed the fog lights until I come up with a better solution. I may take a dremel and cut out the rectangular portion or I may explore other options including fog delete and 335is ducts.

Another noteworthy finding is that the fog light bulb is an H11 where the OEM bulb (for my car) is an H8. I was hoping to swap over my aftermarket fog bulbs but was unable to do so.

Your existing tow hook cover and headlight washer cover is not a good fit for this bumper which is why my tow hook cover is missing in the photos. The headlight washer covers included are for those who actually have headlight washers. I do not have headlight washers so I had to use the existing covers which are a slightly loose.

The fitment of the bumper itself is pretty good for the most part. I have a slight gap difference between the headlights and grilles. This will probably just take a minor tweak to get this right. GAP UPDATE IN POST 8. GAP WAS MY FAULT, NOT JGMODS!!The bumper lined up perfectly with the fenders and the gap is equal from side to side.

The screw holes that attach the bottom of the bumper to the splash shield were well aligned with the exception of one which was off. This could be one of the reasons that when you by from Tischer, they include a separate splash shield to fit the MTech bumper.

Overall, I am very pleased with this replica bumper from JGMods. One thing that I love is no more side bumper reflectors . The increased air flow to the FMIC and intake filter should help the car be a bit more responsive as well.

It doesn't look too bad for a rep. I have their rep MTEC rear bumper and it is pretty good.

It would be great if you try to see if you can adjust the gap difference between the light and kidney grill (especially the driver side) and if you modify the fog lights or choose to go to the fog light delete. Maybe in the future they will give an option for 335 owners so that air would be allowed to go through that area to the oil cooler.

I didn't buy it prepainted since I have a local guy that does great work and is reasonably priced.

My suggestions to improve the product include, opening the fog light housings for obvious air flow reasons, offer optional lower outer grilles for fog delete for those choosing to go this route, and offering clip in headlight washer covers for those of us without them.

Other than that, the product is great!

Good write up. I can't help but stare at that gap! I may be because of the angle of the photo you took or the fact that you told us it was there. I wonder if I would have noticed it as much otherwise?

I am an OEM fan by nature and this reaffirms my bias.

Hopefully you can get a skilled body shop to work that issue out.

GAP UPDATE!! BONEHEAD ALERT!!

I opened the hood up to change a burnt out angel eye and remembered seeing a small indent on the firewall of the hood a while back where one of the couplers from my Stett CAI had rested against. I decided to shut the hood a bit harder and gap gone!

Here are a few update pics. Sorry about the color since it was at night but you get the idea. With that said, the JGMods bumper fits d@mn near perfectly!!

I am not 100% sure but I don't see why they wouldn't. I'm pretty confident that the company that manufactures these has "replicated" the OEM bumper very very closely including where they drill holes for the bottom of the bumper.

I would check with him to see. I'm sure he could line up the holes to make sure that they fit properly.

So I was doing some reading as I sit here bored at work. If you recall from my previous post, I was concerned that the passenger side fog support was blocking air flow to the oil cooler.

I found a thread from 2009 that discussed this and found out that BMW has an OEM fog support that has an open area for air flow to the oil cooler. The part number is 51118043230 as seen on http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...51&fg=15&hl=34.

This can be ordered from Tischer for $4.91. I highly suggest that you order this if you have a factory oil cooler. Your other option is to take a dremel or razor blade and cut a hole in the fog support supplied by JGMods to allow air flow.

It is ok that the driver side is blocked off as the OEM ducts pulls air from the center opening for the brakes. Here is a picture of the passenger side opening with the OEM fog support. Hopefully this helps you guys out!

The CPS lip works. I am just having a hell of a time getting it to hold using 3M tape and the screws at the bottom. I am going to take it to a body shop when I have time to see what they think. I don't want a solution that is going to be so permanent it ruins the bumper.

I feel ya. Glad I was able to just pull off my aero lip instead of having to pull the whole bumper. But now, the stock bumper looks funny without it. So to clarify, the fitment is great on your lip for the MSport bumper but you're having a hard time getting it to stay on? Can you post a picture? Looking to order parts soon and trying to avoid ordering something that has fitment issues since my aero lip didn't fit flawless.

Also, did you have to do any modification to the air ducts to fit or I only need that fog support part? Thanks in advance.

JStang, I'm also interested in this question. Did you just use your original air ducts or did you purchase the MSport air ducts?
