what torque should the wheel lugs tighten to?
I'm having a hard time taking off my OEM wheels because the morons at the dealership over tightened the lugs, how much pounds should they be torqued to?

That's correct, 88 ft. lbs., but I do 90 ft. lbs.

Be sure to recheck the torque after 50miles of driving to ensure proper torque spec.

^^ That is good practice ALWAYS, but really important when installing new rims as the paint will chip near the bolts/nuts.

Even more important if you are using spacers. I go 86 ft. lbs. with my aftermarket cast wheels.

I don't use a torque wrench to loosen any bolts, but I never understood why it is a problem. Does it throw off the calibration? I can't imagine it would as I would think that tightening bolts could have the very same effect if this is true. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? It's not like the things are fragile. I think it's a myth...
