has anyone tried something like this to reduce water spots?

This would work a lot better:
http://www.amazon.com/CR-Spotless-Wa...ds=cr+spotless You can also save $400 and just dry the car properly and wash it in the shade. Keep in mind that the above item is not a buy and forget. You have to replace the cartridges every 100 gallons or so I think for that one and they are not cheap.
