I need rear seats so the S2000 and Z4 is out.
Not into the Prelude, it's older than what I'm willing to go. Its going to be daily rather than a play thing. The trophy is good but don't you need to service the suspension every 5k miles or something? St would be ideal but I'd need to up my budget or I'd be left with a dog or Cat C. Same with the MK5 Golf. |

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-Ford-...ht_1268wt_1400 not mint but may be worth a check out. keep your eye on autotrader for private sellers. you will find decent one for 4k but takes time. Last edited by dy63; 03-25-2015 at 11:56 AM.. |

The deed is done. As of next week the BMW will be gone because I've just left a deposit on a 2008 Civic Type S 2.2 diesel (I know, I know)
It cost me quite a bit more than my £4000 budget but I'm buying it from a main dealer so comes with Full Honda service history (getting serviced again before I collect it) 12m warranty 12m MOT 12m AA Cover So over the next 12 months all it will cost me is fuel. I very nearly bought this Focus ST, but the salesman said the previous owner didn't supply any proof of service history with the vehicle, and to honest, the test drive left me feeling disappointed so I'd need to spend more money tuning it to at least stage 2. The reason I bought a Civic diesel is because I decided I can't buy a car I'd want with my budget, so I decided to let my head rule my heart. All the fun cars I liked were either too old or too raw to be used as a daily. All the new cars were either too slow, CAT D's or had 130k miles on clock. So, my thinking was get something which isn't likely to lose money over 12 months and very reliable. Then, in 12 months time I'll part ex it against something exciting again. I've been spoilt with cars and the drop in refinement and performance were too much to swallow. So, I've bought a sensible stop gap instead. Kill me now! |

No, It's not a GT. Its just a standard Type S.
A GT would of been great, but only main dealers were willing to take a reasonably high value M135i as a part exchange. The car is a very good example with an immaculate FHSH so I thought the car was worth the punt. |

My brother has a civic type R EP3 he's selling as he just got a BMW for fun on weekends and has a company car for work. Its heavily modified to push over 240 (with dyno print out) by TDI North but he's looking for £5,500.
I don't want him to sell it as I think the market value is well below just how much this car is worth for fun and enjoyment etc... Even though I know it's not it feels faster to drive than my 335i http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121478237989 Last edited by AWSAWS; 04-04-2015 at 05:29 PM.. |

had one for a couple of years not too long ago and the only issue I had with it was worn lower suspension ball joints - unfortunately on these cars you can't just replace the ball joint you have to replace the whole control arm as the joints aren't removeable. a stage 1 remap will get you close to 200bhp and a load of torque |

When I was considering the Civic I stumbled across a forum called Civicinfo and there is a popular stage 1 remap from a company called Celtic tuning. This boosts Ower to 190bhp and 300lb/ft and forum members get a discount so it's only £200. |

Yep. Clutch is a bit of a weak point on them. Had one myself for a year or so with no problems apart from having to get the clutch adjusted once and getting the roof repainted under warranty. Another common thing on the civics. Other than that good motor. Nice torque in them too.
