looks good man.

i know your good with vinyl, try this out for the grills. wrap the grill area with black vinyl and separate the outer grill from the fins. then install the fins without the outer trim. the black vinyl should hide the gaps nicely and the grills will line up better with the top mustache.

It's about $250-$300 for materials. LEDs, drivers, soldering iron, solder, silicone glue, tweezers, microbrushes (mother is a dentist so these were invaluable lol), dremel (not included in cost), and exacto knives.

Not so much complicated. The logic board is a bit complicated but the soldering and wiring of the LEDs themselves is pretty easy.....very time consuming and tedious though.

Huh. That's sounds interesting. I'm going to have to try that.

I had just the inner slats for bimmerfest east and they didn't look bad except the edges were weird since you can see mounting holes etc. The black vinyl idea sounds like a plan!

Thanks.

Did you have these in at Bimmerfest? If I remember correctly, you were the guy who came to the booth with your friend to talk to Marc.

3M seal? To seal the housings back up? You could have gone to home depot and gotten a tube of rtv silicone, GE household, liquid nails clear projects, or something similar. All the same more or less.

You really just need one with good vibration and shrinkage resistance. Temp resistance is a plugs too.

well i did take a look at those but the stuff you mentioned puts out fumes and there not butyl besides idk if they have the same characteristics of how it expands in form.

last thing i want is condensation/leaks of water running inside my headlights due to not sealing up well.

In the works! I just want to get a few kinks out of the way before I post one.

I'm having a problem right now where my +5VDC regulator (7805) is dropping below 5V when the engine is on. This makes the arduino boot continuous.....This is intermittent though. But when the board is off/rebooting, the angel eyes go full brightness and they blind drivers at night.

I'm going to try putting a regulated 12v signal into the RAW pin so the logic boards internal regulator can step it down to 5V. Well see how that goes. My only concern is that the regulator may get hot.

Ideally I would like a 7.5V source to connect to the RAW pin but then I have to build another circuit for an adjustable regular (because they don't make premade 7.5V regulators).
