This time it has definately been ordered..honest!!
One happy man at last! I went to the dealer today and told the salesman that I wasn't leaving until I had committed to buy a car and signed an order form! He was delighted with that opening statement Anyway, we looked at the options, AUC cars and new. None of the AUC cars felt right, too expensive and little difference between 3 months old and brand new. An hour later I signed the new order contract for a brand new car to be delivered 1 September, provided that he can get a build slot, which should be eminently achievable. The car is stretching the initial budget a bit but I think it going to be worth it. Sorry to have burdened you all with this ongoing saga Anyway car is: E92 335d M Sport Coupe Le Mans Blue Jade Grey Leather Dark Grey Poplar trim Style 225 M Spoke 19" alloys Professional navigation Bluetooth with telematics I got my 6% discount which I am happy with and I am now looking forward to September! Thanks for all the tips, advice and suggestions. I went through the options list and could have spend £1000’s more. DAB and 6FL just missed the cut, regrettably. I also would have liked premium hifi but that was just too much. |

Congrats!
Am going through the process with the dealer at the moment... got to thrash out the figures over the weekend and who knows there might be something different on the driveway in September.

Thanks for all your 'kind' words Film rights under negotiation, Colin Firth to play me, Ray Winstone the role as kind, understanding salesman!
NO second thoughts on the colour, thanks squeezebm! How many of you have a tracking device fitted? If so, which one. Dealer keen to sell me 'Tracker' (no surprises there!) |

I've got the basic tracker system. My employer insures my car and this was a requirement of their insurer for all cars over £30k (which meant they also paid for it). I think it was around £250 fitted plus £300 lifetime membership. Probably cheaper at an independant though. |

Good to hear that things have finally concluded for you. And what a great conclusion!! 335d M!! My 335d is almost near the BMW 1200 mile recommended break in period, so I can’t wait to let those horses loose!

E92 was ordered last week and has gone to 'status 1200' already, not sure what this means but assume that it is nearing an advanced stage of production?
Dealer called this morning to inform me of build date (now!)and expected delivery in week 32, just as well as I was considering adding a few bits to the spec. Just managed to add Folding Mirrors, HiFi loudspeaker, DAB radio and USB audio (6FL), dealer confirmed this had gone through so must have been very fortunate to get in just in time! Should hopefully be at the dealer for me to go and have a look at it when I come back from holiday mid August, prior to picking it up 1 September. Focus ST goes to the dealer on saturday to be sold to the highest trade bidder so will be without a car for two months. |
