Help: KWV1 hitting my Moog End Links
Hi everyone,
I installed the kwv1's and when I went to lower the car the adjustment perch and spring are making contact with the moog sawy bar end link. The moog end links are much bigger than oem so I am guessing thats the issue. As a result of this I cant lower the car to the max. Anyone had this problem? Will the oem end link solve this issue? if not what do you guys recommend? Thanks |

hi, well we had a lengthly discussion about using new endlinks in another thread.. while lowering car with KwV1, since this kit does not come with new links..
if your Moog links are different in dimension other then length.. from what you describe they seem to be wider, then yes that would for sure be your problem.. so i guess you would have to swamp back your stock links for the meantime if you want to go lower.. and/or get a new set of links that are oem spec but longer.. if you could post some pics would be good.. to see. |

I did my h&r coilovers this past weekend and put on new meyle heavy duty endlinks and have zero complaints or problems. Maybe you can go with those. Cause as stated above. If the endlink is too wide and hits the collar then obviously that's your problem. If you want to use aftermarket endlinks check out ground control or Harold at hp autosport can hook you up

They are the same length as oem and not adjustable. The part number off of ecs is left: 31356768771 and right is 31356768772. That's where I got mine. I had no problem with mine fitting, I just preloaded the sway bar a little

Is the direction of the endlinks the same as oem. I know with moog they are turned perpendicular instead of parallel. So if you hold the oem endlink up the ends should aim towards 9 and 3 o'clock. I'm betting the moogs are at 3 AND 12 oclock

If those are the endlinks you got and you're an xi then the orientation of those endlink ends aren't correct. Look at front oem xi endlinks then ones for the i and see they're different. You have i endlinksbased on the part numbers you provided.

Real oem has indicated for an xi front for the front endlinks the exact same part number as the ones I gave you

Thanks for all the responses. Can someone tell me what length and brand of end links they went with that have kwv1. I intend to lower it close to the max.
