How bright are your LEDs? Can you compare them to, say, the Lexus GS350? Your pics dont look as bright as those do, but it could just be the picture. By the way, I know these Hoens aren't LEDs, but they look pretty white and bright (and they are cheaper - $12.00 per pair) :

I use this, is a array of 9 LEDS but plug & play, you need aditional resistor for non computer error...:

I tried doing this but I can't get it to work. I followed all the instructions and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. One of the LED pads started melting.

Did the LED light up at all?
if it did not light up and start melting... means that you have the LED on backward... LED is directional... so you need to swap that Festoon arround.

when you put leds on the car it starts blinking for a few seconds everytime you start the car. does this do that? i want leds but i hate the blinking (seems ricey like strobes)

No it doesn't, i purposly had my gf started my car after the install, just so i can see if there's blinking.

you don't really need another housing to attempt this... it's kinda hard to mess up. and even with those plastic pieces removed, the oem halogen bulb will still fit in the housing; so you can always to back to using them if you like. I think buying new housings just for the LEDs will cost too much money and won't be worth it.

if you get a set of stock housing and a pair of these LED lights and send them to me i'll be happy to put it together and ship it back to you... u'll have to reimburse me for the shipping of course.

You can push the housing to the right, and then pull down the left side. It should come out pretty easily like that.
