HELP: Tires Drop 20PSI in 10 Miles!

Would anyone care to diagnose a problem for me?

My left rear tire (my car is RWD) loses 20 PSI every 10 miles when driving on highway (70 mph). When I drive locally, I believe it drops 5 PSI, which is still bad.

I am suspecting it was a poor tire mounting job when I got my new wheels. Coincidentally, that tire was the only tire that was poorly mounted (rim got scratched) so I'm putting two and two together...

My question is: is there are way that I can trace back the air leak to the poor mounting job, and if so - make them pay for a temporary repair AND new tire? Is it even possible to puncture a tire when mounting? (I have General Exclaim UHPs btw).

Thanks everyone.

What about the TPMS?

B/c I used a tire pressure gauge and the air pressure showed 20 PSI

Well mine did this because of the nuts backing off due to poor install (mine showed 20lbs as well)

Ditto! This is got to the the easiest way to find out where the leak is coming from. Or if you do have a big bucket to fit a wheel/tire, do a full dunk test.
