Note: Power Kits should only be installed on 135i and 335i vehicles equipped with option code S840 (increased top speed limiter – which includes an additional oil cooler).

I find this comment confusing, isn't the existence of a higher speed limiter based upon the tires on the car?

Is this a N55 only option?

Its great that they dropped the price! But I still think its pricey$$, considering there is no hardware purchase that is involved and the preproduction feature includes much more at the same price. I guess the only advantage against the other non-BMW aftermarket upgrade is the warranty is retained!!
My other question is....
What's the benefit of stage 2 with the "extra cooling", since there is no extra boost in the hp with it? I know that extra cooling minimizes power losses at higher/sustained RPM, so does that mean that stage 1 can be potentially harmful in the long run, if driven too hard?!?! Wonder how BMW will play this..

My 135 already does this and I LOVE it!

I am waiting on my 2011' 335xi Sedan. They quoted me $1350+tax ($1500) for just the tune. I wonder if I drive over to Buffalo if I can get it done there under warranty?? They were not willing to budge on the price..I wonder if the price will be reduced in Canada?
Good question, wondering myself.

Shouldn't be, the PPK existed before the N55 introduction I believe.

So this will be $600 for the N54? I think it might be worth it for warranty considerations.

No idea, I was just answering the dudes question if speed limiter is related to tires, which it isnt.

s840 comes with ZSP, even in the xdrive. The sport suspension is excluded in xdrive with ZSP

Nice option. I have a dealership visit tomorrow and will inquire about this. Hopefully it wont matter that my car doesnt have an oil cooler.

Shoot, I've got a 2011 135i with no Sport Package (and no option code S840). Am I SOL? I thought the sport package was limited to seats and trim. I wish I had known there was a mechanical difference.

I would never buy a BMW without Sport, or M-Sport. But that's me.

A 135/335 especially, shouldnt even be available without at least Sport. A 128/328, sure.

I may have made the mistake of chasing a deal as opposed to holding out for the right car...

That is a major question no one has answered yet.

Is it possible to "piggyback" an aftermarket tune to this tune?

That is some key info, I would love to know the answer too
