How to get into N without starting engine?
Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but does anyone with an Auto box and the annoying Start/Stop button know how to put the car into Neutral without starting the engine? On previous cars you could put the key in and just turn the ignition on, foot on brake and go into N, but the dumb Start/Stop button seems to have flummoxed that... perhaps I need to RTFM ;-)

Hi - I am pretty sure if you push the key in and then hit the start button without putting your foot on the brake pedal it will go to the next ingnition II without starting the engine and let you go to neutral.

I think you can also press the Start button briefly (just touch it lightly) to either make the dash light up like a Christmas tree, or not? I think its called something like 'radio-readiness' in the book?

Yes, thanks, for the record that does the trick - by pushing the Start button without your foot on the brake, it turns the ignition on. Then, having let go of the Start button, you can put your foot on the brake and shift into N without the engine running.
