Eibach Spring Rates

Forgive if this is a re-post...I didn't see all of this info in one place, so thought I would post.

I just spoke with Eibach regarding their springs for the E90, and it turns out that all three models have the exact same spring rates, and they are all linear (not progressive)...148 lbs./in. in the front, and 456 lbs./in. in the rear. The only difference is the drop. 1.2" F / 1.0" R for the 325i/328i/330i sedan Pro-Kit (part #2085.140), 1.4" F / 1.0" R for the 335i sedan Pro-Kit (part #2092.140), and 2.0" F / 1.4" R for the Sportline (part #4.8520). The Pro Dampers (part #2085.840), they said, would work with any of the springs. Also, he said that if you buy any of their bundles (either the Springs/Dampers or the Springs/Dampers/Swaybars), that ALL of the components would carry their million mile warranty to the original owner.

Yea when I installed the Pro-Kit Springs on my E93 part# 2099-140 I noticed the springs didn't look progressive like the Eibach Pro-Kits I had on my G35. I thought maybe it was because they were for the Heavier Convertible. Drop= -1.2 Fronts & -0.6 Rears.

Brian
148 lbs/in seems unusually soft for a car that weighs more than 3200 lbs. Maybe its just because I'm new to bmws, but that rate doesn't seem right to me. I'm not sure what the motion ratio is on the E90 front suspension, but 148 lbs/in is something you'd see on a stock 90s miata.
