No idea on that. The BMS kit is programmed to use their FSB controller along with the JBD. The electronics is the tricky part of it. On the bung they do not plan to offer anything. You'll have to drill/tap your charge-pipe if you want to run meth on the D. It's a fairly easy job.

They did some dyno testing using a 50/50 mix and a CM10 nozzle which is fairly safe for the street. Gains were around 20whp over the JBD alone. This particular car was only able to run around 80% on the JBD this time around without tripping a fuel pressure code. Overall I understand the car feels a lot faster on the street and for the minimal effort involved BMS thinks the kit may interest a few hard core 335D guys. The kit price is $479 including the controller and all required parts.

If whp gains were 20whp I imagine wtq is near 40-42 wtq )
So at 100%
This means it will be probably near 30whp and 45-50 wtq with 50/50?mix!
At 100% meth this thing will reach 50 whp and 70wtq for sure.....
Wow
Can't wait next week to try it with 100% meth on the dyno and 80% JBD.

I know it's an easy job !
Just wondering when I go in for service.....
Looking for a way to take it back to stock fairly easy.

I can tell you that I bumped the JBD up to 100% on the way home without issue, and it felt very, very strong (this was a 155 mile drive home). I'm gonna do some independent dyno testing down here so we can get some torque #'s, too. Need to ping a couple of people to see what I can find down here, but there is a definitive difference, without question. DPF removal is on the near horizon, if I can find someone to do it, and a FMIC replacement.

My question is will it also work with my RENNtech flash?

You should be able to do it with a standalone controller. I know for their other meth kits Terry sells you can upgrade the kit to "a more universal" controller by using the CM controller. The truck guys use EGR temp probes and turbo pressure to determine their settings from what I understand.

Please be cautious if going above 50% methanol. You are asking for trouble in a diesel by doing that. See post 28 from this thread for published research on why.

Good to see further mods coming on line for the D.

This is what I wrote him:

Good day terry, some us at the various forums are inquiring about the Meth Kit, but particulary people w/o the JBD box. In this case me I have the RENNtech flash, what will you recommend for this. Please respond to my alternate email at axelhernandez61@yahoo.com since I will be out of my office later on, Gracias!!

Mike - Can you find out from Terry what all is involved with connecting the controller to the jbd? Is it as simple as plugging it in between the rail pressure sensor and the jbd or does it actually tap into the board in the housing?

I can show you tomorrow. Additionally, I'm actually running a greater than 50/50 mixture now (bought a 5 gallon drum of M1 and 4 gallons of distilled water), and the difference seems pretty dramatic, but I won't know until I get the car on a dyno again. So far, I've been able to run JBD at 100% with the mixture (about 75 miles of driving), and it's been pretty solid.

Other people in the UK have done a lot more with these cars than we've touched, and I haven't heard any reports, really, so I'm just gonna keep pushing on. My car is due for smog, and once that's done, I think I'm gonna get the DPF removed to get that extra HP that we lose from the UK cars.

We have the same transmission at the Bentley Continental GTC - Look up the hp and torque numbers. There are things that will break before the transmission will.

Take a look at post #37 in this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...6#post13125026

This guy is from Ecotune, and as he notes, they have many, many hours with DPF removal. He might be able to address questions you have.

Mike, can you post a direct link to the meth product on the BMS website? Thanks.

It's a WW kit, which means you use your windshield washer fluid tank for it, and yes, meth is safe for your windshield. :P Windshield washer fluid actually has methanol in it.

Don't think the kit is up yet, btw.

Most of the wires are for the pump itself. There's only 1 wire that goes directly to the JBD that I can see.
