Tightening Intercooler Hoses for JB4

Hey guys, im relatively new to the whole scene. I just got a JB4 Gen 5. A buddy of mine (has a fully built BT A4) highly suggested that I replace my gaskets and tighten the hoses to my intercooler before running the tune.

Is this absolutely necessary? I am actually taking my car to BMW to have them check out a noise at start up. Should I get them to do it (tighten hoses) or is it something I can do? I have close to 0 experience working on cars. I have installed 1 Jb3, brakes and changed oil and thats it...

Thanks guys.

It's not necessary. If BMW will check then have them but otherwise install the tune and enjoy.

Not necessary, but i could see the concern. If a hose does come off you'll know and it'll be an easy fix.

If you have a stock intercooler, there's no way to tighten the hose clamps on your intercooler: they have one-time-use, non-adjustable hose clamps.

The stock FMIC dousn't use clamps, so you can't tighten anything. Which gaskets?
