Finally got around to posting it up here.

Whispbar system is great and the quietest rack I've ever experienced.

I have the Thule 871xt fairing and have spent about 2hr trying to mount it with no luck at this point. Its a real PITA and I will probably revisit it soon. Any help, suggestions, DYI, how-to - would really be appreciated. THANKS-

What issue are you having? I just recently installed the same fairing on my roof rack with no problems.

Did you work those pegs into the second position down or just into the first?

Do all 4 little foot pads touch the car or just the inside two?

Could you take a side profile picture?

When I am trying to mount it its like it's getting warped or something. Its not like that sitting on the bench and I have moved/adjusted where the clips sit on the bars back and forth several times as well.

Any help would be great. Thanks-

The pegs go into the second position. I know it looks impossible but the brackets will flex. I had a friend slowly pry it wider it was able to slide it into the second position. All four of the foot pads touch the roof of the vehicle. I'll post up a side pic later this evening.

I love seeing BMWs in the snow -- it's such a rare sight to see even when I'm up in Tahoe.
