Opening or locking doors wear out locking mechanism - never lock the doors. Closing door will alsp wear out the hinges, so once u open the doors, drive away with doors wide open.

Automatics do have clutches.

shifting with any type of tiptronic system in a semi automatic is actually better for the tranny, it applies more pressure to the clutches, resulting in less slip, less heat, less wear etc. keep slappin them paddles son !
