Heated steering is the key to life during winter my friend

Where is it in the 5 series? Up until I got my 3 I was driving an X5 and the button was right on the wheel face next to the audio control

My 2009 with cold, sport and premium has it. Not sure if the prior owner had to order it separately or anything though.

However, that is a really goddamn stupid spot to put the button. I know you can tell if it's on by the heat, but you can't SEE it. Same thing with the green light for auto wipers. Did that engineer not sit in the driver's seat?

Yeah I have cold, sport, premium, + comfort access. I thought the wheel only came with cold package. Agree with the button placement, though it is quite obvious when it is on (and working). It would be nice if it were 3 stage like the seats and switched on the dash.

An older BMW I have had constant problems with the heated seats (which are now permanently dead) so I am keeping my fingers crossed these things don't go out. My xi just left warranty, it is CPO but I think CPO only covers major drivetrain issues.

I must say this is an option I would NEVER have ordered, but it came on my CPO'd 2010, and with the late winter nonsense we've had here in the Northeast, it's been a really nice addition.

Nice option, now will always want it. It gets deleted with M sport option due to the steering M wheel.

Got this on our F25 X3 and its amazing. Its on the left like the 5'ers too. Very stupid placement of the button, but i cannot let go of the wheel on those cold mornings.

On my last car I used to keep one hand in my pocket and use only the pinky of the other hand to steer the car

Not available with M-Sport unfortunately since we get a different steering wheel.
