E92 328i louder than E90 328i??

Hey, has anyone test driven a E92 328i back-to-back with an E90 328i?
I test drove a E92 328 a few days ago and I noticed that it sounds a lot throatier than the E90 328 that I have as a loaner today...
Has anyone else noticed this??
I'm wondering if BMW may have done something different in the intake to make it sound more loud than the sedan? Perhaps like one of those cabin intake tubes that the Z4's have??

The e90 335i has an extra resonator in the exhaust that the e92's don't have, I would venture to guess that the 328i gets the same deal.

According to realoem.com, the rear-muffler has a different part number for the E90 and E92... Everything in the exhaust is identical..

I've always wondered if there was a way to modify my intake with Z4 intake (with the cabin tube)... My friend has a Z4 and it sounds sooo awesome...

the e90 has a resonator and a muffler... i think the e92 doesnt have the resonator... and yes, the e92 is louder than the e90.

i had this feeling too when i test drove my car before i bought it, and the SA told me beacuse the exhaust system is longer (in size) in the e92, thus the different in sound compared :P
