Thanks man. I checked with ironic and he has no objections with this. Full credit still goes to him.

To all, I'll update the OP later today with complete parts needed for this retrofit. I'll also start an official DIY later tonight.

Updated the OP with these parts. Now hurry up and buy these from Tischer before they run out of stock. Backordered items take 2-3 weeks to get.

These pins all come with cables attached to them so it makes it very easy to assemble.

Don't forget to order the shift knob (and maybe shift boot), of course.

Just ordered my parts Considering that they are based off of DC metropolitan area I'm hoping that shipment is fast.

Nice write up bro! Now show us how to put it together.

DIY is now in progress. Not done yet but had to save it as I keep losing my attachments as I'm writing it.

If the parts are in stock you'll get it in a day or two. I already started the DIY.

Yep, I've seen this. This is where I got the pin assignments for the shift knob. Though ironic's design was way easier and is fully reversible. This is a PnP kit that will not mess up with your stock parts.

I wouldnt use that writeup as reference as it will confuse most people witha 3 series. If you read it you will see the implementation for gear selection feedback is different on the Z than the M3/3-series, so the circuit integration is also different.
