N55 e92 Dinan Exhaust Videos

I just had Dinan Exhaust and Stage 2 Suspension installed on my 2011 E92 XDrive 2 days ago. I decided to go with Dinan Exhaust for several reasons (warranty, quality...) but mainly because I wanted added performance and a deeper sounding exhaust without being too loud. I am extremely happy with the results. I have noticed the improvement on throttle responsiveness, especially on the low end. The sound is awesome when you want it to be heard and very subtle at low RPM's. Apparently the sound will get better and "deepen" over the next couple weeks. I was going to wait to post videos but several have requested some videos now, so here you go!

3 Videos
1. Cold Start
2. Warm Start
3. Launch and high speed drive by

Yeah, I wanted to wait for my P40's to be installed before posting pics. I had VMR 714's on my 08 335xi sedan, and liked how it looked but they look horrible on my new car. BUT if you want pics I'll post some, just keep in mind I will be changing wheels within the next week. The Dinan stage 2 dropped the back 2" and the front about 1.5". I am really happy with it. I can't go too low because I am in snow country!

Some pictures would be nice or if you want to wait till you get your new wheels then doesnt matter. I'm considering the dinan stage 2 suspension as well and since we have the same car I just wanted to see how it looked in terms of the ride height. Hows the ride compared to stock? We have snow too (but not as much as you guys!)

The ride is great, so much better than stock. I was afraid it might be rough, but it's actually a huge improvement over stock. Reduced body roll significantly!

Almost any exhaust sounds better on N55 vs N54. You should post up some full side profile pics before and after drop to really show the difference, or with a ruler.

I will get some pics posted right away. The front has actually settled down a bit more. So far it has come down right at 2" in the rear and 1.5" on the front.

On a different note... Although Dinan does not currently replace the front shock with Koni's, they are working on it for the xi's and should not be long. Even with the stock front shocks with Dinan stage 2 suspension, it is a completely different car. Not only is the handling amazing but the ride has improved dramatically (not as harsh and bumpy).

That is my main concern with upgrading suspension. The roads in NY metro are terrible. As much as I want to get rid of the wheel gap, comfort is my main priority.

How much was the exhaust? On the dinan site it shows up as $1999.

You won't be disappointed with the comfort of the Dinan suspension. I had read several posts of others (dashboarddave & 808AWD325xi had a good review http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381791) and reading their reviews helped me decide on the suspension. I ordered dinan suspension, exhaust pedals and wheels so the dealership cut me a but of a break on everything. But the exhaust was right around $2k + install of 1.4 hours. Worth every penny and highly recommend!

I just had the dinan free flow installed on my n55 and am wondering because the dealer said that it takes 2 weeks or so to break in itll sound better any truth to this?
