I've driven a TTS also. Sounded lovely. Wasn't quick enough I thought!

5.2 is VERY optimistic!!! Deffo in standard trim not as quick as a standard 335d!!
4wd and a bastard launch will enable a good 0-60. Rolling though the 335d monstered it!!

it has similar power to a 335d stock but it also has only a fraction of the weight of a 335d and also 4 wheel traction.... never seen a remapped TT S so i dont know how it would far vs a 335d remaped |

TTS in manual, very fast off the line....but a 335 would smoke it from 40mph onwards.....
The TTS always leaves me about a cars length (the manual gearbox and quattro system does help!!!) |

i would say 5.2 for a TTS is quite optimistic....5.4 is more likely...i need to get a stopwatch! ;-)

I would expect a 300+ bhp remap to do some serious damage to those 1/4 mile stats Last edited by Fx1; 07-08-2011 at 11:10 AM.. |

If you want a 2 seater sports car why not get a 370Z or Cayman. Both are much better drivers car compared to a dressed up golf! |

Its a no brainer. 335i with manual gearbox. Pure drivers car.

370z no thanks, high tax and low mpg make for a poor car on business use. i need to run my business miles on around 23p per mile and road tax should be no higher than £250 per year. |

I've owned an E92 335i DCT for 10 months now.
It is well worth the extra. Never drive it in Auto if you want to go fast. The box will assume you're changing up, and the 2nd clutch will already be in the higher gear. 0-60 = 5.2 seconds consistently, and I have done sub 5's on other occassions - all depends at what rpm you shift. Car Dyno'd at 345 bhp 450Nm torque. No Mods. Rev matching on downshifts. This makes you sound like a pro racing driver and gets a lot of attention, especially with the golf tee mod (another subject). Launch Control. Look it up on youtube, it's fantastic. Not to mention the lightning fast gear shifts. Did 13.4 quarter mile at Santa Pod on Sunday and will be looking at 12.5 next time around when I can sort out the grip. Last car was a Boxster, £1500 for a 2 yearly service, £500 for a broken ignition switch. They cost big money to service and fix. Look nice though and you get more attention from women :-) |
