That's the spirit, do 'em yourself and screw 'em all up!

When I was single I did my own EZ but with so many different variables in play now (kids, wife, 2 jobs, stocks, bonds, blah, blah) I just feel like I need someone who does this for a living.

Oh, and screw the IRS!

I can't figure out why it's blackened.

Last year, for the first time in my life, I owed the IRS. It was a sickening feeling. And we owed big. $13 grand. You don't know how hard it was to write that f*cking check...

been using it for years but i use the free version, which is the same shit, you just dont get to import your data from last year. My return is super simple, so i dont really need the import tool. I can still do my taxes for free in less than 30 min

I bought the program this year cause for my and my girl it worked out slightly cheaper with the filing. The import did not work so that was a hassle.

Even though it is not the smart way I claim 0 so I always get money back and never have to pay. If I made more I would most likely spend more and then paying the IRS would just be a kick while I was down. Kind of feel like a dick complaining about this because of the root "cause" but I have paid more in taxes this year already than my brother will make this year.

For someone who does stocks, do we have to use the $49.99 premier?

Same thing happened to me! Input one salary and was getting back over $1k yay. Put the second one in and now I owe $3k boo. And this is without capital gains yet...

For all the talk of supporting the middle class in the last election there sure is a large tax burden...
