Just be glad you don't have a 335i, or you'd be buying the car twice over :P turbos, injectors, water pumps, etc etc etc etc....this is my 1st bmw and think it will be my last. It's nice but i want something i can actually use and put miles on without the worry of what's gonna break next.

Thanks. I am LOVING it so far. The FWD is different but I wouldn't say I like it any less. Just feels different.

Really think I'm going to enjoy it.

Warranty will cover that until 2018 or 83k miles.

BMW is completely different being that its a higher performing vehicle I would expect the pump to be expensive.

While the LS series of engines are much better than the old standard 350's etc they replaced I know I wasn't the only weekend wrench turner who was a bit shocked to see the large increase in prices for some of the replacement parts vs. the 350 that had been out for ages. Now that the ls engines have been out for awhile of course we no longer think about what the cost was on the last gen stuff.

or the difference in price is mechanical pump vs. electric, not that one is a higher performing vehicle.. as I'm pretty sure the pump on my Corvette isn't more than the one on my BMW, and I'd easily argue one car is a higher performer than the other.

btw, how do you acquire an 11 year warranty?

I guess I got the 335xi that wasn't built on Monday morning or Friday afternoon because overall it's a good car and I drive it and have fun.

It's a BMW, parts are more more high tech and more expensive.
We're arguing symantecs at this point.

I love vettes FWIW BTW.

And the as far as the warranty goes, I bought the car this year with 23k miles and the warranty is good for 5 years(2018) or 60K miles(83K).
It is a one owner non-leased car with all service records.

The waterpump is clearly covered in the terms.
