definitely not install problems. installed by one of the most reputable n55 tuners in Australia.

just a sh!t product. my opinion. op can get what he likes. but I see no upside to it over a custom flash. but I do see many downsides which a google search will clearly outline........anyway, not a jb4 bashing thread. lets get back to constructive answers!

Do we gain anything with an exhaust on these cars? I would imagine since it is a turbo we should but what type of gains? Ive seen the just axle back OEM BMW performance exhausts all over Ebay for around $800. I really don't like the tips on them at all and would most likely go a different direction IF there is any gains to be had.

No gains to truly be had unless you go with a big single turbo then I would look into it. However, I bought the PE for my car because the exhaust note sounds perfect.

Not so much, it's mostly for sound.

What custom flash, can map swap on the fly, or apply boost changes based different octane fuel types?

What is the appeared to be advantage of the new tune MHD that is the buzz around the forum? I am set on getting the charge pipe but somewhat concerned on the issues I have been reading with JB4.

seems to be better on N54's though
This is the exception not the rule. JB4 has been awesome especially for a rookie like myself.

The very, very first thing you should do is get an aftermarket charge pipe and install it yourself.

If your car is 02/2012 or older, we can flash the PPK for you. Will give you the nice exhaust burble, plus you'll be able to retain whatever performance you gain from the PNP tune you choose.
