Quaife / Wavetrac LSD Question

Hi,

In case you would have a welded ring gear diff, will it be possible to buy a Quaife or Wavetrac and a ring gear from diffs online ( around $600 ) and thats all about ? Am I missing something ?

yours is not welded probably since you have an AT . is it from MY 2007? Mine was not , its a june/july 2007

Mine is a 04/2007. I'm also expecting I have a bolted ring gear. The question is in general, so everybody can buy the Quaife / Wavetrac and in case there is a need, just the appropriate ring gear ( + $600 ) in addition. If it's like this, thats great !

Try the wavetrac, a friend of mine has it and its very happy with it. bit cheaper too.

How can you say that, I thought all after o3o7 was welded

the MT ones are welded. if mine wasnt welded with a later production date than 03/07 is the OP fine.

Ok I was´nt aware there was a difference man/aut, I now there was a difference in gearing

600$. that is manageable... now lets see if this works as well with a DCT.
I am looking at the Wavetrac option. They have already kits for welded difs (manual and automatic) but you have to sent the customer’s differential/ring gear

I asked them, and they are looking into the DCT transmission. Let's hope the will bring something for that as well.
