New Driving Age in Jersey

hey guy! whats up?

so lately i've been hearing a lot of talk about the new law where they changed the official driving age to 19. but i've been hearing different stories such as, i've heard if ur born any year after 90 u have to wait until 19... but then someone else told me it was 91 -_- so i'm just not sure anymore.. haha

so is it like 92-whatever have to wait until 17 to get their permit and 90-91 still the same at 16? can someone please clearify this for me? i'd really appreciate it

RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr ^_^

For drivers ages 16 and up, MVC offers a three-phase process:
1: permit with 5 months supervised--no driving after 9 lol
2rovisional license--17
3: regular license at 18

i understand that but is it for drivers who are born after 91 or after 90?
cause they recently changed the law (Jan or Feb)

thank you for replying

It should be no anything until age 21. IMO with a few exceptions...Kids these days are so irresponsible.

My pop took me to a deserted parking lot when I was 13-14 and even more when I was 15 to get the feel and practice turns and parking k-turns etc. When I was sixteen I took my manditory driver's ed class in highschool and paid to take an additional driving course at 16 1/2 once I got my permit. Come 17 I had some experience already and was ready for my liscence. An even then, i could have used more experience. Kids these days think they are immortal and can do anything.. you should not be allowed to drive util you are 21 for the same reasons your not permitted to drink until you are 21...but then we would just have inexperienced drunk drivers on the roads...oh well can't win.

true ....just another reason you should not drive until you are 21. Stick to myspace for a while.

just because you HAVE A DAD that taught you how to drive doesnt mean there arent better drivers than you out there... and plus 15-17 year old are still LEARNING to drive you cant blame them for being stupid on the road. also you have to view their side of the story and their life situations... not just say they shouldnt drive until 21 just cause their "kids" and "cant drive" so like i mentioned before if students start to drive at 21 then THEY would be the inexperienced ones on the road...

also. myspace isnt a bad thing, its a site for people to meet friends and get to know new people... its the stupid and crazy people out there who abuse it that should be prevented from using it.. surely myspace could use more secruity but its alright if ur safe.

anyway these are off topic...

Can be forced to go to war, must pay taxes, can enter legally binding contracts and considered an adult by the law but can't drive? That's even worse bullshit than only being able to drink at 21.

Drinking to get drunk is for losers....but I agree with the military thing. That would honestly suck if you could be tried as an adult, forced to go to war, expected to hold down a job, and not be able to drive, LOL. The driving age should be 18 in all states. I think the legal age is 15 in A LOT of places..mostly the backcountry in hillbilly-ville.
