Yeah, I'm looking into options.

I had the insurance company make the check out jointly to me and Trade Secret (other option was me and the lien holder, but I'm leaving them out of this mess). I'm next on their waiting list so I'll be scheduling my appointment with them sometime today. I'll see what they're willing to do for me as far as aftermarket parts. My guess is the total will come out somewhere closer to $14,000 or so by the time this is all over with.

Allstate is probably going to hate me but my car is going to look badass.

Oh, and yeah my husband knows a thing or two about N54s....because I taught him I might be a chick but I do know how to build cars...

Might as well do an LCI swap at this point. Cost should be close.

Yup, thought about that, but I'm going with a CF M3 hood and CSL trunk. I'm on the fence about the hood, as I haven't seen it on the car yet (might be too rice for me, haven't decided yet). If I don't like it I will sell it and do a front-end LCI conversion down the road. Bumpers were not touched so I'd like to leave those alone for now until my car funds are no longer depleted. Between house and both cars we have some major deductibles to pay right now

That looks fine. I think I'd opt for the LCI front conversion ASAP. The entire car will look even more aggressive than the above.

I can understand playing it conservative though. The good thing is that you're car will be painted, so if you ever want to go LCI, now is the time!

I got to visit my car at Trade Secret today. Allstate has now sent me 2 supplement checks, bringing the total damages to just north of $15,000.

Should have the car back sometime in late August.

Don't get me started on that.

They found some minuscule marks in the clearcoat (from shipping) and want to charge me to "fix" them, even though they are painting the hood jet black AND I am having the car wrapped after this. They were actually sort of rude about it. I guess they think a $15,000 insurance check wasn't enough.

But there's nothing wrong with the hood. Just a couple of imperfections in the cf weave, and some small scratches from shipping that I would only care about if it wasn't being painted.

That sucks bro. I remember my 98 Honda civic had major damage in a storm in 03 in San Antonio. Paint was mint before the storm came thru.

Yeah, definitely painting it, and thinking about wrapping it matte black after this (to protect the new paint, and also because racecar).

I might ask them to pull the fenders too, since they're installing new ones. And right after I pick it up I'm driving straight to Cobb for a FMIC install and dyno pull. So much win, I can't wait....
