urgent! Brake hose leaking and CPO doesn't cover

Dealership stated they will fix it for $ 400. Is that true that brake hoses are not covered by CPO and/or extendent maintainance? Do you guys think I should let them do it or take the car back and bring it to indy?

Not covered
Read the CPO contract
Under not covered: All hoses, all fluids, etc.

If its the rubber line that is leaking in the wheel well, try and do it yourself. The part cannot be more than $20 and should take no time at all to do. Just remember to bleed the brakes after.

i cant see an indy place charging more than $100 to do it for you.

Good opportunity to upgrade to steel lines as well.

Not CPO, but should be covered under new car warranty, methink?

As meeni said, i'd upgrade to SS lines while you're in there and having to bleed the brakes anyways.

Go to mod bargains order stainless steel brake lines, they cost around 80-100, have a indy shop install them and bleed the fluid with Motul RBF600 or OEM BMW Brake Fluid.

Call it a day, look at it as your getting a upgrade.

Get it fixed that stuff (brake fluid) is probrably going to mess up the paint on your wheel, it destory's paint.

What good is CPO? Seems like I read threads everyday about CPO not covering basic stuff. What a rip.

Our new car has CPO, our past car, a '99 E46 (328i) had it also. I took the '99 in for a wheel alignment at 30K and the tech (non-bmw) told me the front a-arm bushings were shot, and they are non adjustable to boot. Couldn't even try to align the car. Took it to bmw for warranty, they said no way, not covered.

I spent a good part of the next day on the phone with bmwna. They buckled and actually replaced the A-arms ((upgraded to later vin arms)) under warranty. Got to argue. It would have been an $800 job if memory serves. I decided to pay for the $80 alignment.
