New T&C service policy?
So my car is in for its first year oil change and some rattling issues. The service rep when doing the walkaround to check out the car is taking photos of the car. Is this a new standard policy or is it just to cover their rear because they've had issues with damaging their customer's car?

I don't know if it's new because not all reps take pictures but it's just a way so they don't get blamed for any damage and for people who come back and blame the SA that they damaged the car during service - keeps both parties honest.
