I picked my 2011 on the 28th of may last year, I am now just over 30k so I will see 50k inside 2 years. It's my dd and I have tracked it. Once I hit 100k+, it will be transformed into my trailer queen.

Wow, there's quite a few if you that really keep the miles off your BMWs.

For me, 3 1/2 years, 40K miles.

And that's with two vehicles I split mileage with evenly ha! I'm probably behind the wheel for 25-30k miles per year.

I took delivery of my 2007 in July/07 and todate it (almost 5.5 years) has 15,333 miles. It is stored in the winter and is not my daily drive. Only goes out on weekends in the summer :-)

I don't do it on purpose per se, but walking to work everday it really cuts down on the miles. Also, since I live downtown I never have to drive long distances to get anywhere.

Nope. My mom bought a new E46 325xi wagon in 2001, she put 200k miles by 2006 when it got rear ended and totalled. Only 3 major problems, clutch @ 178k, rear diff @ 180k and ignition coils at 190k. Then again this was mostly all highway miles.

I bought mine May of 2012 with 15k miles. I have 35k on it now, I should hit 50k by the end of next year.

You must be a consultant. You can tell by the mileage (or lack of) of their cars.

Thanks for sharing that out. It's reassuring hearing people have their fair share of high mileage with minor problems along the way.

After 2 year and 2 months and almost 50k miles of owning the E90 320i, my only problem was the ignition coil, which was done under warranty as it happen a year after i bought it.

End of this month will be my second time changing all 4 tyres, which means I had to change tyres every year.

Next on the list of preventive maintenance? The dreaded ATF Oil.
